Format & Rules

Stage One: Online Qualifiers

  • A series of online tournaments will be hosted on WorldGaming to determine the 16 Teams that will qualify for the Online Playoffs. The top Team from each online tournament and 12 additional Teams with the best overall records will qualify for the Online Playoffs. Teams will earn points for placing 2nd through 8th in each of the online tournaments to determine their overall records.
  • Format:
    • Double elimination;
    • Best of 3 Matches to Top 3;
    • Best of 5 for Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals

Stage Two: Online Playoffs

  • The 16 qualified Teams will be divided into two Groups of eight Teams, and each Group will play a double elimination bracket to determine the eight Teams that will qualify for the National Finals. The top four Teams per Group will qualify for the National Finals.
  • Format:
    • Double elimination;
    • All Matches Best of 5

Stage Three: National Finals

  • The National Finals, hosted at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto and broadcast on twitch.tv/worldgaming, will feature the eight Teams that qualified through the Online Playoffs.
  • Format:
    • GSL / Dual tournament -Double elimination Groups to Single elimination Playoffs;
    • All Matches Best of 5
